Retaining Walls

If you have a sloping area in your back, side or front yard, you may need (or want) to build in a retaining wall. This can be done using wood planks with metal poles, poured concrete, or stone masonry. 

Doing so can raise up and level your fence for better privacy, provide better framework for a new pool, help with soil erosion, direct the flow of water in certain areas, or all of the above. Another reason you might find a retaining wall to be an excellent addition to your yard would be for design purposes, tiering the yard with lovely landscaping elements or adding subtle lighting.
