Pergolas Are Versatile

The beauty of pergolas is their versatility. They can be attached directly to a building or freestanding. They can have an open roof or have a cover with full or partial shade. After meeting and discussing their needs, a pergola directly attached to the building’s brick wall was decided upon.

We have been in this business for a while and have a network of suppliers that we use for our projects. The gorgeous wood for the pergola was sourced from Binford Supply. After receiving our wood supplies, we added a stain and seal from Texas Wood Products that protects the natural wood color, repels water, and provides a mold, mildew, and fungus-resistant film. This extends the life and beauty of the pergola wood. 

While many pergola’s wood slat roofs are designed to be open to the elements, Soapy Jeff’s wanted extra protection from the Texas sun. Our favorite solution is to add a semi-transparent Hercules Roof System from Cover Your Pergola. This system is UV resistant and lowers temperatures up to 15 degrees, while still allowing light to filter through.

The resulting pergola design has softened the look of the hard brick exterior at Soapy Jeff’s Car Wash and will provide customers protection from the extreme Texas elements for many years to come.
